Weather has been hot and muggy for a few days … feels a bit tropical!
Mmm … should have left the circle in the middle when I added four more pineapples.

Very interesting, and I can imagine this as floor tiles in a large foyer! It would also look nice on a bed.
Nice on a bed, but also on a wall.

I wonder if tiles could be made in odd shapes, then use coloured grout?
Of course, they could also be wall hangings.

Pretty!
That would have to be one very big window to include that many elements. However, would look lovely on a bed if made with fabrics, including hand dyes and batiks.
The centre panel would be lovely in a door,

This project involves Cathedral Window variations with a fabric version of stained glass.
I like the second design.

Could be very interesting made in glass, and lots of room for quilting a fabric version.
Love the second design, and would be happy to put it on my bed today … though even finding the perfect fabric would take a few days visiting quilt shops around the area, then would need a fine day to wash the fabrics … I think it might be a long term project.

The only way I will ever have stained glass designs in my rented home is to make them from fabric … quite apart from the cost factor!
I love the second design.

I keep thinking I should make this project file a bit brighter, or move the window to the bright side of the house, but despite it being very close to summer here Down Under, the weather is more winter than summer, and has been for over a week, so this is what I would be seeing through stained glass every day at the moment, regardless of where the windows faced!
I wonder if washing the windows would help? Probably not, as most of them have been hosed down in the last little while.

I like the design of the first one, but the colouring is a bit dull … but it is cloudy at the moment, so maybe that is the problem!
Love the second design!

I can see clearly today … somebody must have washed the stained glass windows … wasn’t me!
Love the brighter colours in these two compared to yesterdays designs.

I would love a stained glass window, but virtual quilt designs will have to do for now.
Like both of the two designs above.
Love the last one, if for no other reason it would just about be big enough for our bed!

Love this project file and every one of the twenty or so designs in it.
The one above is one of my favourites amongst all the favourites.
I am spending hours of my days at home sorting blocks, and am tempted to have a look at these blocks today, but they have already had their turn.

I don’t have time to learn to create stained glass, and no space to set up a lead lighting workshop, so I am wondering if anyone has thought of creating the software and hardware to print designs on glass , or even perspex, so art work could be displayed in windows! Interesting concept.
I have spent a lot of time over the last week sorting blocks in my Electric Quilt libraries, and I think the stained glass blocks are sorted ready to add a name and put in the new, tidy, library.
We are not in total lockdown, but there ...

I like this one, designed before I started redrawing applique blocks. Some of these blocks have been redrawn, others are waiting patiently for their turn … way more patiently than me!
I wouldn’t change much in the second design … except the colours. They need to be more like the glowing colours of stained glass.
Simply lovely, but needs a colour change like the last couple.

I have never seen stained glass with quite so much colour … would be interesting!
The design above is big enough for a queen size bed, and I think I would definitely choose fabric instead of glass.
